Social Distancing Express
Social Distancing Express game rules Object of the Game The object of the game is to be the first player to reach 10K, and beyond! Setup The youngest player starts. Give them the game base and the pencil and paper. For two or three players, remove one of the 2-sided dice to be used to determine the starting player. For two or three players, remove both of the 2-sided dice to be used to determine the starting player. Shuffle the 2-sided dice together to create a new dice pool. Place the 2-sided dice pool next to the game board. Game Play The player who last did a little shopping goes first. On a player's turn, they may move their p*** anywhere in the game as many spaces as they like (this includes Downtown, to perform any actions, and to pick up discarded items). As an action, a player can spend any number of action points to: Perform an action Move a p*** Reveal an item The active player continues to do actions until all the dice have been taken and passed to the next player. There is no limit to the number o das a player can take. End of the Game The first player to reach 10K wins! In the event of a tie, the winning player is the one who took the fewest actions in the race! Common Stages of a Player's Turn 1. Spend 1 Action Point If a player wants to perform an action, they must spend a number of action points equal to their rank (the lowest 2 actions per rank). If they want to perform an action twice, or use two actions for the same rank, they must spend both action points. Any p*** on a space that already contains another p*** has no effect. Example: Yellow played 2 actions with rank "0". Yellow used two actions, spending both of them to move one of his pawns into Downtown. He could not use the 2nd to use its action to perform an action. 2. Move A p*** can move in any direction. Some actions allow a p*** to make a special "Lift Off" action (see Aeronaut). A p*** can make its lift off action at any time during its turn (just like other pawns). Example: Here, Blue moves one of hi 3 pawns one space forward, then moves an adjacent p*** and then another p***. This moves one of his pawns two spaces forward, creating a one-way circuit. The red number between Downtown and Downtown is printed on the area the p*** landed on. Blue could not do the same action with the blue p*** (because he has already completed the move action). 3. Pick Up Discarded Items If a player has discarded a single item, they may immediately pick up that discarded item by moving their p*** back one space. A p*** can pick up discarded items in any number of locations. To do so, a p*** must be located in a specific space that does not already contain an item. These locations do not need to be connected, and can include other pawns. Example: Yellow decided to "Pick up discarded items at the brick store". Yellow takes a p*** from Downtown and adds it to the storage space next to the store. Yellow could not move the p*** to downtown since he did not have any discarded items in Downtown. 4. Push ...
